We must maintain the qualities that make Flagstaff a unique place to live.  We are not Phoenix.  We should  preserve our character while providing a diversity of neighborhood types.  I support protecting open spaces while building new developments with at least medium densities so that neighborhoods are walkable.

I volunteered to be the Council liaison to the new Housing Commission, to bring rational analysis for attainable housing – ownership and rentals

I have voted against high-density projects, but have supported others when they are compatible with their surrounding neighborhoods.  Student housing can be problematic, but frees up housing for families.

I am the only council member that supported council oversight of the Towns on Lone Tree student housing project.  I am concerned that the project will be inappropriate for the Lone Tree at John Wesley Powell area, and that it may not be in compliance with the development agreement for this parcel.
